   Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority and fairtrade

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, the Minister of Industry & Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA) and Germany’s fairtrade Co. are teaming up for the success of food tec middle east 08, the Middle East International Food, Beverage, & Packaging Technology Exhibition, and food + hospitality middle east 08, the Middle East International Food, Beverages and Hospitality Exhibition. The events are scheduled to take place concurrently at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.

Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Authority (BCEA) is Bahrain’s forerunner organisation with a mandate to market the Kingdom of Bahrain as a preferred, all year-round business destination and cultivate partnerships with key MICE industry stakeholders in partnership with the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIEC), the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Tourism Affairs and the hospitality and leisure tourism industry. 
 
fairtrade is a major organiser of international trade fairs in the boosting markets of the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe. With food tec middle east and food + hospitality middle east, fairtrade targets to replicate the success story of iran food + bev tec and iran food + hospitality.

Held annually since 1994, iran food + bev tec is the largest food technology exhibition in the Middle East, whereas iran food + hospitality is the leading trade show for Iran’s food, beverage and hospitality industry. The 2007 event was attended by 26,000 trade visitors. Six hundred five (605) exhibitors representing 22 countries including official national pavilions from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Thailand and Turkey exhibited on a net exhibition space of 17,100 sq.m.
